Moyer Foundation

KUMON of University Village is a proud sponsor of The Moyer Foundation. Created by Karen & Jamie Moyer, long-time Kumon parents, The Moyer Foundation has helped thousands of children in the Seattle area, the Northwest, nationally and world-wide.

For the past 7 years, our Kumon center has held an annual Moyer Foundation Challenge each spring, where our students raise money for the foundation through their daily Kumon study. To celebrate the students who meet the challenge, we hold a Make Your Own Sundae party. Jamie Moyer is on hand to congratulate our hard-working students and thank them for the donations that they help raise.

In 2001, based on our own Moyer Challenge, the Moyer Foundation teamed up with Kumon North America and the Tom Burnett Family Foundation to organize the pencilpower project, which raised funds to establish 4 bereavement camps for children who lost a loved one on 9/11.

We are very proud to sponsor and support the Moyer Foundation, and look forward to many more years of working together to help children in distress.
